U7 Information

Teams will be put together during the summer. You should expect to hear from your coach by the middle of August. You will be provided with a team T-shirt by the league. You will need to provide shorts or pants, shin guards (required), soccer socks and a #3 soccer ball. Soccer cleats are not required at this age.

U7s play either Saturday or Sunday for 1-½ hours, which is typically divided between a 45-minute practice and a 45-minute scrimmage. All practices/games are at the field in front of the Mixter Municipal Office building.


U8 Information

Teams will be put together during the summer. You should expect to hear from your coach by the middle of August. You will be provided with a team T-shirt by the league. You will need to provide shorts or pants, shin guards (required), soccer socks and a #4 soccer ball. Soccer cleats are recommended but not required at this age. Shin guards must be covered by soccer socks or sweat pants.

U8s play a game on Saturday. They will also have one practice during the week. Their practices and games are on the Girl’s softball field (corner of Goodale and Crescent Streets).


U10 – U12 Information

Teams will be put together during the summer. You should expect to hear from your coach by the middle of August. You will be provided with a uniform (that must be turned in at the end of the season) and a pair of socks that are yours to keep. You must provide your own shin guards and soccer cleats, both which are required at these age levels. Players without shin guards and soccer cleats will not be allowed to play. The game referee checks each player prior to the start of each game. Other types of cleats such as baseball, football, etc., are not be allowed. U10 and U12 players will need a #4 ball for practice.

U10 – U12 are the town traveling teams and play against other WAYSA teams. This is a more serious league than the U7 and U8.

U10 – U12 teams practice one or more nights per week (at the discretion of the coach). They play each Saturday and Sunday starting the first week of September through the end of October, participating in a league tournament the last weekend of October. There are no games scheduled Columbus Day weekend, but your coach may decide to enter a tournament (at his/her discretion). Games are either in West Boylston or in one of the WAYSA towns which are Sterling, Princeton, Paxton, Rutland, Spencer, and Leicester.


U14 – U18 Information

Occasionally at the U–18 age levels, WBYSA may not be able to field a full team and will join up with another WAYSA town team to fill out a squad. If this happens the team will play in the town where the head coach resides.
